Dealing with Anxiety

Anxiety can come from multiple areas, be it trauma or genetics. It can however lead to persistent feelings of worry, fear, or unease that can interfere with daily activities and overall well-being. It is in counselling that we can begin to find strategies to manage and reduce these symptoms while understanding and resolving the emotions behind them.

ASD (Autism)

Autism is a neurodevelopmental difference that can make us process the world in a different way to neurotypical people. This can leave us feelings isolated, misunderstood and burnt out from the different masking/comping mechanisms we use to fit in and function in society. Counselling can help us to understand and manage these behaviours in a more helpful way.

ADHD

ADHD involves challenges with attention, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. It is within counselling that we can understand how your brain works and how you process the world. You can also learn strategies to regulate your emotions.

LGBTQIA+ related issues

LGBTQIA+ individuals face many different struggles. In regards to our mental health we may struggle with our gender/identity, discrimination, feelings of shame and societal pressures. Counselling offers a supportive and safe space to explore your sexuality and gender while discovering strategies to navigate these challenges better.
